The Role of BWY Eastern Region

Eastern Regions remit is to promote the British Wheel of Yoga, BWY events in our region and yoga generally to current BWY Members and to the public at a local level.


Nominations are invited for BWY Eastern Region Regional Officers positions 2016. Details and an online or postal form can be found here along with details and benefits of the various positions. If you would like to discuss any of the positions please contact the Regional Officer using the details here. There are many benefits to becoming a Volunteer for the British Wheel of Yoga. We hope to see some of you on the committee. All nominations must be submitted by the 30th September.

BWY Eastern Region Committee

Eastern Region Committee Members are dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, democratically voted into office, who organise regional events and provide information. We are always ready to welcome new volunteers to the region, contact your local county Representative or Regional Officer to get involved.

County Representatives County Representatives are responsible for sending information out to the Region’s Members, encouraging membership growth, organising and running events (CPD for teachers as well as general interest seminars for members) and answering questions raised by Members or prospective Members. Their role is to ensure that BWY is actively and positively promoted in their county; they are the primary link between members of the public who seek classes/information about yoga and the BWY as the Governing Body for Yoga in the UK.
